"The rules" of dating...

"Your not supposed to text/call first."
"If you haven't talked in a long time don't make the first move."
"If he didn't call he's just not that into you."
"If he's interested he'll make a way to make it happen."
"Don't pick up the phone when he calls"
"Do not call him, and rarely return his calls"
"Do not ask him out"
"Do not approach him"
"Always play hard to get"
"Never accept a weekend date if he calls you on, or after Wednesday"
"Let him take the lead"
"Do not see him twice in a row"
"Never pay your way"
"Never compliment him"
Who the hell makes these rules?!

I think it's safe to say "The Rules" were made to be broken. I agree with the fact that if he has a source to contact you and he hasn't then don't bother, but most of these rules are ridiculous. I am guilty of breaking majority of them, yet I won't hesitate to give advice to a friend on some of these rules. Since when does dating and attraction have rules anyways?
Hmmm does that make me a rebel?
